This BARV number 00 ZR 21 which is still in running condition and housed at Bovington tank museum and can be seen at events held there.

The production line at Barnwbow, Leeds where you take a Centurion Gun Tank and turn it into a BARV. The upper section was all armoured plate apart from the breaker boads which was just mild steel.

Test tank at Barnbow to make sure that they where water tight and also to check the  4 bildge pumps worked and where capable of clearing the interior of water that comes over the top.

Note the large snatch block fitted , this was moved from its previoous possition over teh drivers comartment, as this is a large and heavy bit of kit would not fancy having to carry it down from  here when needed. You can also see the extra sections fitted to the snorkels to give them more height. This was not done to all the BARV's only those left in service at the time. BARV's 04 ZR 49 and 02 ZR 30 still can be seen with original fittemtn of the snorkels.
